Where I can find the old version of the game (before content removal)?
From what people on here keep saying, apparently you can't. All I know for certain is it was a limited release that BlueBone released right after he got into it with Patreon and certain gov't issues, and was only available for a couple of days. Then BlueBone removed his Patreon account and all online content he had access to. Later, they overhauled the game, got rid of most of it, Asa quit working directly as the main artist and moved to contract work only, the main people left, and one of the Programmers ended up directing the game, rewriting a 'cleaner' version. During all that they set up a new Patreon account under BlueBones name, even though it's not the same guy from what Asa said, and after a number of years and additional overhauls, you got the game as it is now - and supposedly allowed by Patreon (which could just mean the issue was never brought up again, though it could later be, depending). *shrug*
Just to mention this, but explicit loli, shota (some demons and the mc), besti, gay/trap/tf, and a number of other things that were in the original game, will now get a game developer into a huge pit with Patreon, who then sends their personal info to one gov't enforcement office or another. When BlueBone started developing the game, this wasn't an issue. That only happened after the huge global crackdown on loli/besti type content and artists. And Tail of Desire 0 wasn't the only game seriously affected by this (so were Warlock and Boobs, and A Goblin's Tale (which later got picked up by a different group for the third time and became The Rise of Vruk) - both of which once had excessive loli/besti/etc. - , etc. or, for example, all those games that now say Stepmom instead of mom, but sneakily give the option to change it in order for the dev to have plausible deniability). So... BlueBone basically said the hell with it. Pretty sure people on here can AT LEAST verify this much. I mean, you only have to read Patreon's new policy and terms - I say new, but I guess it's old now.
I had the game on an older computer. The machine friggin melted and so I no longer have it. Afterwards, I tried to find another copy only to be told it doesn't exist. Can't even find the related artwork, which should usually be floating around on overseas sites. Not going to do a huge repeat about the game here, but my old post go into more details, if you're curious.
Honestly, only Asa could confirm or deny and they aren't talking about it. Now many on here say that the taboo version never existed.
But it did... *shrug* It was never for sale, though, and maybe only their Patreon people could access it.
Worst part about that version is that people may even have a copy, but without the two ways to unlock the Taboo (password and following key combo - something like pressing tab, 1, 2, w or something at the same time), it wouldn't be accessible. I only vaguely remember the setup, because it was so weird. It was only after unlocking that the version id number changed on the title page from a number to the word "Taboo". One thing I wanted to ask Asa about was how they locked that part of the game, because I couldn't even access those files through the directory until after the code was used. Since I only ever used it once, very likely it was special DLC linked. I do not know - and who could I ask? The game download itself was originally massive, so I don't think a secondary direct dlc autoupdate was involved. That's only my opinion, but I'm starting to have doubts.
In any case, I stopped looking for it after a while.
But that doesn't mean anything answered is wrong. The people just like to say otherwise, with no proof, because without a copy, it can't be proven. And since only one person - Asa - has any contact with people, only Asa could verify it, being one that worked on the artwork and cinemas.
Besides, this current version of the game is pretty decent. It's just different.
